Depends on the type of person she is - I would be really happen with a day at the spa (back massage, facial, pedicure, manicure - have someone do my hair and make up) Then go out for a nice intimate dinner with my husband and time to curl up with a book - I am only 50 though

Being a mother I would say as long as she has a nice family who love her and see her on the day, this will be all she wants. But for something special I would arrange a small holiday or a spa day out good luck

Take her to the seaside for a nice day out in the sun,and then bake/buy a cake for her, get her a card, get her a present, here's some ideas:
*A massage/manicure,pedicure,facial...
*A surprise party with her friends and family
*something nice,like a souvenir,clothes or make-up etc...
*Go out and play bingo/bowling
*Hit the mall and go shopping
*Cook her a nice meal
*Buy her a pet.... whatever you want!
I hope you have a lovely time!!

Don't send black balloons Get a group together and have her type of fun..... If she loves life and is a happy fun person have Friends send her fun gifts that they could only understand between each other. And then have them tell why it means so much
And if it is family go to a place where you all can laugh
And bring on candles lots and lots of candles

When my mum was 65, we arranged for her to go up in a hot air balloon, yes I know it's expensive, but EVERYONE pitched in for the fee.
Anyway, she had a wonderfull time and will never forget the experience.
Hope your mum has a great day, whatever you do.

Throw her a surprise birthday party, invite all her friends and family and throw it somewhere Fancy like a ballroom or something. I'm sure she loves to dance, and make it black tie or give it a theme like a sock hop or a pj party!

A hot air balloon ride in her area is nice, or a pamper session at a health spa or one of those photo sessions, you could get the whole family involved and get it framed nice.

Yup, make her a scrapbook, get some pictures of special moments, borrow some if you need to and photocopy them, then put them on some co-ordinating paper and add some writting, she will treasure it!
