Thinking of moving to Spain. We have a multi-regional DVD player since we have DVDs from other parts of the world and still want to watch them. Currently we play back through a British TV set, will it play back through a Spanish TV or will we have to take our British TV?

So that I don't get more stupid answers I'll explain - TVs in some countries use different systems - UK PAL is not the same as German PAL, the French use SECAM, the USA use NTSC - they are frequently not compatible!

The tv standards are different as you already know, but I assume you will be using the dvd player with a SCART cable, and the TV tuner will not be in use. Therefore YES the player will work to the best of my knowledge.

hmmm tricky one multi region dvd will play back all dvds for different coded areas, buttt if spanish tv uses a different format like we use pal, and ntsc ,secam other areas it may not, not 100% sure

What is a British tv, Spanish tv? They speak the language or only play certain shows.....

I guess what Mega is saying is, what difference does it make ? All tv's will play what you plug into them, they don't know what country there in.
