I told him that it was tradition. We then talked about marriage. He seems really concerned about his job and saving money lately. He also told me about a cool proposal story of someone he knew a few years ago. He also moved to a new apartment to get focused. Do you think he is going to ask me to marry him soon?

Yes girl he is trying to propose but probably don't have the money yet to buy you a ring
so next time the conversation come up just say that it is not necessarily to give a ring right a way

Of course not. Because you've already established that it is important to you. He will always be working on getting a better job or saving more money throughout his life. Sounds like he's using this as an excuse. Also sounds like you two have been together for a long time. Think about it......while your waiting for him to find the time to become whatever.....you could be missing out on the one for you. I've been telling all the ladies this, "If he loves you enough he will do it. Otherwise forget it".

That's my two cents.

I hate to be the one who throws a wet towel in on your hip parade but it could end up hurting you in the long run. he may be asking you this stuff as a friend and plans to ask someone else. I realize he is your boyfriend but assuming the end result can be very hurtful if things do not turn out like they seem to be heading.
The thing that throws a red flag up is him asking you about the ring this would be an ok question to ask anyone except the one he is planning to give one to.
Now I am not saying he isn't planning to ask but please don't count your chickens before the egg has hatched.

It certainly sounds like the guy is moving in that direction. He's talking about rings and proposals, and moving to his own apartment and saving money are steps in that direction too. Sounds like he's maturing. He also sounds like a good guy. Lucky you!

Wow he is either cheap or really wants to propose to you, but financial is not able to afford the ring.

Thats probably a good assumption but dont put all your hopes on it... Dont think about it that often that way when he does do it it comes as somewhat a suprise to you. Good Luck!

It sounds as if he has given it a lot of thought but who knows for sure but him. Be patient...good things come to those who can wait.
