in dog food, why most of the brands have them?
also in cat food. i've heard its bad but dont know exactly what it is.

Feet, beaks, hooves, skin, feathers, hide, hair, guts, doo-doo that was in the intestines...
I feed Canidae, made from all human grade foods..and I actually save a lot of money! (and I feed several big dogs)..
Other dog foods made from all human grade ingredients, are Innova, Solid Gold, Wellness, Natural Balance, and Wysong..It always pays to read the labels..

Beaks, feet, feathers, parts of animal that are unfit for other uses.
Animal digest = the sotmach and intestinal contents of the animals used for meat in the dog food.

it depends on the brand of food you buy the higher the quality the higher the quality of by-product. For example -Hills prescription diets use human grade quality meats-but do you eat chicken neck,back?No so it is a by-product.Talk to your vet(its free) about pet nutrition.

The stuff leftover after all the edible portions of the animal have been taken. Including beaks, legs, tumours, etc.

Nasty parts of animals that people won't eat, so they get put in dog food, LOL. Don't hear the dogs complaining, though....

chicken lips, duck butts, pigs tail...pretty much anything that can't possibly be used for any other purpose on the planet...(ie- about as much nutrition as a rock)
