A nice bouquet of flowers and your presence...she must know you don't feel well. Am in my early 50s and if I just had my daughter's company and some beautiful flowers that would make me happy. Also, maybe promise to go do something special with her when you feel better.

Your mother will love your gift no matter what... but if you're not feeling well a home made card and some I owe you's would be just nice. Example: To the mom that has everything... "cept this home made card" Happy Birthday. Now take some paper and cut em in little strips and write I owe you: 1 errand run
or I owe you: 1 hug; my daughter did this for me and I just loved it! Try it you have nothing to lose... that or run to the store buy a card, and put a gift card in it and let her buy her own gift.

A gift certificate to her favorite salon.
A gift certificate to have a professional massage.
How about putting her favorite things in a basket with a pretty ribbon - like bubble bath, chocolates, teas, etc.

My mom's bday is today too. I got her binoculars and some really nice chocolates.
-A gift certificate for a home made dinner is nice, if you can cook.
-Or take her to the zoo and lunch.

A woman always loves to be pampered. You can call and set up a day at the spa for her or you can make a date of it and go with her.

You didn'y have to buy anything, you can simply walk to her and kissed her, hugged her, and say "Happy Birthday" "I love you".
I think that it worth more than money, and your mother will look at you differently, with love.
