The soul is the breath and body combined (genesis 2:7). So biblically, the breath and the body leaves the soul into a dormant state when dead.

The soul is the person and the person is physical, can't you see that?

How can the body leave? Once the person dies the body is nothing. The soul is the person.

No, it's not Biblically correct.
Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
This infers that our conscious soul remains in a state of awareness when it leaves our dead body.
So, the soul leaves the body, not the other way around.

the soul is the part of the person that is the person it can only stay in the body as long as the body is alive. i suppose you could say they leave each other. but the soul lives on and the body becomes dust.

The bible is wrong about the concept of the soul. The soul which is who we are have a body and not the other way around. Therefore, the soul can leave the body, but the body cannot leave the soul because the soul is the life force of the body.

The body can't leave the soul. You can check this out on your own. Go to your local Cementery, dig up a grave, open the coffin and check out inside, you'll see a body. Thus explaining that the body stays right where it was at the time of burial.

That's not "soul", that's the person. We are physical beings. If you're equating the soul with the person, then it's not politically correct, but i don't believe in the word "soul" either.

All the body is for,, is to have a place for the spirit to dwell in. it will not be any use to you when you are dead. but when the day of the Lord comes the spirit will return to where the body is and raise up new immortal, glorified.and will raise up to meet up with the dead in Christ who rose first, we shall be with the Lord forever more. Maybe this isn't what you are asking, but it is the only way I can explain it .

why do you think ppl remember going into a tunnel of light when heart stops and then they come back if they are in an operating room? Their soul starting going back to God dont you think?
some ministers think we sleep in the graves for awhile and even if that could be true its better to be resurrected than to stay dead rright??

there is no such thing as a soul, that can be separated from the physical body, so when the body dies, nothing remains or departs elsewhere
