The Bible talks about how He has given us pastors and prophets to edify the church. You are to respect the man of God, and there is lots of places in the Bible that show what God did when people didn't respect the man of God. Reverence is ok, but you can't let it crossover to worship.

Never, the first three of the ten commandments says that only to The Almighty father. Satan wanted to be worshiped even the apostles was arguing over who was the greatest.
This wanting prominence and glory from men is common in fallen mankind. We should be no part of such things.
It says give glory only to God.

The 10 Commandments:
Exodus 20 (SH'MOT 20)
------------
Isaiah 6:1 - 7:6 (YESHA'YAHU 6:1 - 7:6)
------------
Psalms 150 (TEHILLIM 150)
God says overall within the Bible to carry GOD the Father before & 1st and yet do Men's commands to you (ie: your Work-Boss') first. BUT if Men's were CROSSING Men's then Always go with GOD FIRST.

Read the Catechism. Reverence is a form of loving one's neighbor. It is sign of respect and love, not worship though. Worship however is reserved ONLY for God.

Reverend, Pastor etc. are all OK titles to use when addressing a church leader.
But, Jesus said to call no man Father.
That title is reserved for our Heavenly Father.

Yes. And ask the minister what their title is; Reverend or Pastor. Then ask him where the passage is. You could read the bible and find it yourself.
