I agree. I think it's something our more simple-minded ancestors did; they give gods human-like attributes because it makes them easier to understand. Then, these notions were just kinda passed down, whether they're true or not.
(Oh for crap's sake people... If "God created us in His image", then what does he look like? Is he brown/white/black, male/female, short or tall? Why don't we all look alike then? And some of us are shy, some outgoing, some smart and some not... which one is he? Ask yourself some smart questions first before quoting some book.)

Certainly, the idea of God/supernatural beings is a human creation, probably as old as human imagination, and although the characteristics of this idea had been improved over prehistory and history of the human species, or at least during homo sapience existence, it's foundations lie within the human mind and therefore has characteristics that are limited by the limits of human imagination

The evidence you've presented doesn't show that you've actually read the Bible. God, over and over again, acts contrary to the way you'd expect humans to act.
If He was a product of us wouldn't He always act the way we would act? Wouldn't He make it incredibly easy for us to have faith in Him? If the Bible was self serving, everyone would believe in it.

It's the other way around. The Bible states that God created Man in His own image.

Religions are perception of divination.
Humanity trying to explain (limit) God.
God IS Love, Truth, Joy, Light..... pick any word.
God IS God.
Words are conditional.
Love IS God.
God is HOW you are able to BE you.... Free Will allows you to choose what you think that means.
God is God no matter what anyone chooses to be or not to be.

My God dose not have "human attributes"... my God has given me human attributes, which I, along with the rest of mankind, have misused. And in that abuse have corrupted the concepts God intended for us to have and use.
God makes the rules... play by God's rules or suffer the concequences.

That's because the people that try to force religion down your throat know nothing about God at all.
