Brother Michael and marianne give excellent examples. Put God on trial! If you want proof, then collect the data and evidence as well as the thousands of eyewitness accounts that History has recorded, and measure it up against the data that you believe proves he doesn't exist. You speak of "credible" evidence, well if all the "evidence" they collect to prove evolution was "credible", then it would be proven, but since it is not "credible", then it can't be. There are too many holes in the entire theory. One doesn't have to have a PHD to see that. The Bible gives an "account" of creation and not the process, because the process was God. Take a coke can for instance, it has a designer. Someone made it the proper size to fit into our hand, then they made an opening in the top that is the correct size in relation to our mouth, and they even made it out of recyclable material. It is obvious by it's design that it had a "designer". Now look at a bananna for instance, it's shape and size seems to be that it was "designed" to fit into our hand, the protective covering peels off easily and lays over hand and knuckles so it doesn't get in the way, it's size is just right in relation to our mouth, and it has a biodegradable wrapper. This is just one of MANY things we see in nature that says to me that SOMEONE had to design all this. All you have to do is watch and observe. Peace.

I don't know any personally, but yes there are many of them, they just don't get recognized nearly as much by the secularist media like the evolutionists.
2 Books I have read by religious scientists that have lengthy and thorough explanations about the scientific evidence for God are: The Wonder of the World: A Journey from Modern Science to the Mind of God by Roy Abraham Varghese; and The Science Before Science: A Guide To Thinking In The 21st Century by Anthony Rizzi.
They give both religious AND scientific reasons for the existence of God and why we should believe in Him.

"Are there any persons on Earth who have PhD's in Biology or Genetics who do not believe human beings evolved from a common ancestor?
If so, who are they? Perhaps they could come to yahoo answers and give us a credible scientific explanation as to why its scientifically impossible for a human being to evolve from a common ancestor."
---
Well, I think you have already asked such a question in the "biology"-section of yahooQA.
I suggest you to keep trying in that section until you get in touch with the right persons.

I hope that no *credible* college would give someone a PhD in Bio if they did not agree with evolution.
You can't prove God, the whole point of christianity is that it is purely faith baised. Thats why I think its so funny that people find so many different circular arguments and excuses to believe in God. Or, for instance, that they "feel" God or use coincidences to prove that God exists. People are so stupid; you cannot prove that God exists through coincidence! Even if the chances of an event are .000000000001%, maybe there are 10000000000000 different events that have a probability like that. That would mean that there is a VERY good chance that at least ONE of these VERY UNLIKELY events takes place! You would have to quantify everything that is logically possible and everything that physically exists! It would be quantitatively exhausting even with a millenia of time!
Thats just my two cents.

This is a really good question. There is actually a professor down at Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas who found so much proof. There were diggings done out in Israel and that region that prove the Bible is completely true. While I know that doesn't seem to answer your question, I think it does. If the Bible can be proven true, then doesn't that mean that God and the Creation theory are true? They found artifacts with certain seals on them that come from Ceasar during the time period he was around with Jesus. There is just so much proof and I really don't have time to name them all. Basically, scientists who went and dug things up have found so much evidence. And as to the guy who answered first...you really need to watch what you say. You have seriously offended me and other Christians around the world.

Actually I have three Ivy League degrees and I am keeping an open mind. If either answer- God or Evolution- or some middle ground is scientifically proven correct, my value system is flexible enough to handle it. Personally I believe in Evolution but am hoping for God.
Apparently you're having a hard time wrapping your arms around the concept of God, That's OK, but why does that seem to threaten you so much and make you so defensive? Have you read the Bible? It's a great book.

I'm sure someone who thinks they know biology will point you in the direction of Mitochondrial Eve (the most common female ancestor) and Y-Chromosomal Adam (the most common male ancestors)... but those names were only allusions to biblical characters and had nothing to do with the "real" thing. Besides, they were from different eras and totally different locations, so there's no way these two characters can prove anything.

My two cents about this. After pondering and reading multiple books on existance about God, I came across something quite interesting. I hope I remember most of it correctly(don't have the material on it now), but here it goes
If you believe in evolution, let's say humans came from monkeys. And supposedly monkeys as they say came from mammals then from birds then from fish then from smaller organisms.
According to probabality, it like saying shaking a lego set (toy building blocks) in a box. First the first piece attached to the second piece, and the two pieces to the third. Ever think if it's possible that by shaking a lego set in a box for a million years, when you open the box, you will see the completed game set out?
Another thing would be an astronomer measured the possiblilty of a planet suitable for living beings like Earth is probably close like 10 to the power of -23, which in mathematics is like 0?
Want to shake the lego box for a billion years and try?
Was reading about Christianity mainly. Reading through various issues, another interesting question pop up. I assumed Jesus exist since Koran(Muslim Religion) states his name.
If he really died, why did his twelve disciples changed totally and martyered for spreading chrisitianity after his death when they initially all deny him/ ran from his persecutors? Might yahoo this question sometime. Thought it's very interesting to ponder on it.
Anyway, I vote for the idea of God existing. Feels more real and warm to know someone is watching over you. Fact? No idea, probably have to wait till I die but I rather enjoy life as long as I can, got forever after death to find out.
Cheers & Bottoms Up

People like this really really really scare me:
"who needs science when we have the word of God in our hands ... ok start praying now " - Fireball226
This is why education and scientific research in the US is lagging behind, while countries like Iran and North Korea pour everything they have into nuclear physics and rocket science. If we're not careful, we'll all be speaking Arabic before we know what the hell happened.

Read the book "What Darwin Didn't Know". It is written by a practicing Medical Doctor....his view of things have changed over time and working in the field....I believe evolution is a process....read the book by Geoffrey Simmons, MD another who takes this stand is Michael Behe a BioChemist.....so there are those out there.....
