My kids love to fix lunch for me on Saturdays. They are 10,9, and 2. They all work great together. They brought me a Bologna sandwich with ketchup and cheese. Omg talk about choking lunch down. I told them how great it was and now it is like a Saturday tradition, however, I did talk them into ham without the ketchup.

I go to school in the evenings, work third shift, and stay at home during the day with my youngest 2 of 6 kids. Last night (off from work) I came home from school around 10 and my 3 year old says to me,
"I have to tell you sumpin bery portant, but, i'll wait til after you go potty and change your clothes"
This made my whole hectic life so much better.
(The "sumpin" was the baby colored all over the walls with blue crayon...and i didn't even mind)

My son says your the greatest mom in the whole world .. with the biggest hug - needless to say that is all I ever need to hear.

In addition, after we lost our 2nd child, Jared slept by my bed, holding my hand for a week to ensure I was okay.

Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brilliant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

It was a community effort. A woman with AIDS and cancer, whom I drive to doctor's appointments, has a lot of problems in her life, over and above her health problems. Around Christmastime, her daughter was arrested, leaving five children threatened with being taken in by Child Protective Services. Priscilla brought her grandchildren to her home and was in anguish trying to decide how she could give the children a happy Christmas, and how she could feed them. I wrote about her in my journal and to my amazement, several journalers responded by sending money. I was able to take her shopping for gifts for the children and food to feed them while they were in her care. She cried and told me over and over again about how the people who care about her had given her the best Christmas of her life.
