Ask the "what should I do retard" what you should do.

Of course your parents can "legally" make you go to church. You're a child living in their house. Go to church and sit there for an hour a week and sing songs. It won't hurt you. I'm an atheist and have no interest in church either, but a wasted hour a week isn't somsething to go bonkers about.

Sleeping in the living room might be another story. I think they ARE legally required to provide you with proper sleeping quarters. But I'm not sure what those requirements are.

Well, my mother raised my brothers and I in church. We liked it so it wasn't an issue, but she always told us the choice was ours. I don't go to church now that I'm older and nor would I make my children go. I think the choice should be yours to make. Maybe you could ask your parents if you could discuss the situation. Making you go isn't going to accomplish whatever they think it will. It will only make you bitter and rebel against religion it's self. They we to understand, you cant force salvation on someone who's not interested. Good luck with that conversation. I hope they listen to you.

Your parents really cant force you to go to church. If they do it wld b like forcing there religion on you. Religion is a persons personal choice. It seems to me that you are old enough to make a decision about which religion you want to join or whether you believe in anything at all, this decision should be up to you! You should be able to make this choice for you and your parents should love you enough to listen and respect your views and choices

seeing that you live in their household you probably will have to go to church i never heard a law but i know some people if you don t live by their rules they ll tell you to kick rocks and it seems like they could care two shits if you moved or not by forcing you to live in the living room that really bites but yea if they are jesus freaks you will be stuck going to church and laying on the couch

If your underage, then I'd say yes they can. I'd say stick threw it, its not ganna kill you. Could always try explaining to your parents where you stand on the church, and what you see wrong with going. Just have to remember its a convo. that might benefit you so don't lose your cool. Like i say though, "if it doesn't kill you, it will just make you stronger".

You kids are too funny. Yes, they can make you do whatever they want as long as you aren't getting hurt. Stop being so closed minded and maybe they can trust you enough to let stay home.

Church isn't that bad... just stick with it. And yeah, since they're your parents and you're underage, you have to do what they tell you to... unfortunately.
