Hell YES !!! Sweet and savory corn bread it doesn't matter.
A good portion of chili, baked beans, pork & beans or meatloaf is pared perfectlly with a good savaroy, cheese and full of bacon bits slice of corn bread. Also at night a good, sweet buttermilk corn bread slice, warmed up and served with a tall glass of milk is a perfect snak to have before bed.

Don't know about the syrup...never thought to try it. But I do like syrup on just about anything, so that's now on my list of things to eat.
But I do LOOOOOVE cornbread. The only way you can make cornbread any better it to cook it with cracklins in there. Yummy!!!

I'm a Georgia boy and I was raised on cornbread and my Momma makes the best ever! I love it crumbled up in some beans or with butter inside and oh yeah for a late night snack over some sweet milk!
