They have a strong, healthy marriage, something very hard to come by in this day and age. In fact my grandparents are still together too. The same with my husbands parents. I hope that my marriage will continue to be as strong as theirs, they are all amazing people!

That they don't pretend to "know" even though they "believe." They have been devout Christians for longer than I've been around, but they are not Bible-thumpers or bigots. They are humble. They give more to the church than I'm comfortable with, believe in fairy tales, but . . . they actually LIVE what they believe. They don't condemn others, they practice etiquette and common courtesy. They are honest, hard-working, committed and thorough. They keep their promises and have more integrity than anyone I have ever known. They also raised seven children and are still passionate about one another.

They were both honest and did not do anything (as far as I can remember) to hurt or to cause harm to others.
As for my mom, she was the best because for me (and I think for many others too) she was the perfect example of self-giving. She was so generous and self-sacrificing not only for her family but also for others.
For instance when she was still alive she used to reach out to poor people even those who were far from us and give them "stub" to avail Christmas gifts from our church. I found this out on the first Christmas after her death when people went to our doorsteps looking for my mother for their "stubs."
She did charity works without claiming any recognition from them.
I am the most proud for having parents like them.

Well, my birth parents gave me away when I was born so I wouldn't get caught up in their alchoholic life, so I love them for that. My adopted mom(she never married) taught me about God, and for that I am most proud.

I'm actually proud of how they met; I think it's cute. Their younger siblings got into a fistfight so they each stepped in to help defend them. They've been talking since then, got married, etc.

Their intellect. They both continued their education, and pursued graduate studies. Even as senior citizens, they were always learning new things and approaching new ideas. They were gifted in science and mathematics, as well as in literature, art and languages.
