Sociobiology is the biological basis for animal social behavior. It is based on the idea that animals will act in ways to improve their own inclusive fitness (Kin Selection). It is a selfish genes hypothesis that states the individual is not as important to the population as its genes.

Therefore, animal behavior can be explained by how they act to preserve their genes in the population. It can be used to explain why a lioness will nurse not only her own young, but the young of her close genetic relatives in the pride (nephews and nieces). It can also be used to explain why a new dominant male lion will kill cubs in the pride that do not belong to him. Killing the cubs causes the nursing females to come into heat faster, thereby giving the male lion an opportunity to get his genes into the population much faster.

If my husband was on it too then I would look for him first, I hate my photo taking, I think a lot of people look for themselves first out of habit or just to see what they looked like in and amongst the group.

because its a selfish world! Though personally I don't look for my picture in group photos. I just dont like being photographed. And I dont try collecting pictures of self. The latest pic I have of myself is a couple of years old and that too was an accidental click!

I will admit to doing that but I also am my own harshest critic - the thing is I would never say to another human being what I say to myself in my head. I also know most about myself so can comfortably say I am an expert on that subject

You always look for yourself and I am never happy with the picture. Because you worry how others perceive you.
Everyone I know is most interested in themselves. That's human nature to me.

Being sociable people, we look for things to talk about with others.

Ourselves is the easiest subject.

It takes some time to learn not to do this.

As for the picture, well, we all want to know we looked good.

If you don't have any children or grandchildren, just wait.

If you're in a group photo with one of them, you'll look at them first.

Betcha.

Me, me, me. Not really, I hate the way I look in photos and tend to avoid pictures of myself.

its human nature to 'look after number one' it comes from our survival of the fittest instincts, only very generous people are more concerned with others deep down, not to say i wouldnt take a bullet for my girlfriend, friends or family.
