God created the world in six days. After a while he flooded the world because he was pissed off at all the bad people. Left Naoh and his family to repopulate a destoyed world. Can you hear the banjo music?
He became man thus he was the father and son simultaneously so that he could suffer for our sins. In 2 days (yes its two days for people with rudimentary math skills) he rose from the dead and we eat crakers and grape juice to remember this?
Boys and girl I'm only scatching the tip of the iceberg. Jesus said , many are called but few will buy this horsecrap.
To most of the worlds population this sounds absurd. I know, Satan has got a hold of me and I can't see the light.

Homosexuality is something I never did. If I did, I envision me being the picther and the Pope being the catcher!

It's not crackers and grape juice, it's croutons and Bartles and James.

The absurdity may be the point.
Some of the things you've mentioned are easily "rationalized" when they are translated into their original Greek or Hebrew.
The word "day" in Hebrew wasn't referring to a 24-hour period. There is evidence of a huge, localized flood in the Middle East thousands of years ago (the world wasn't quite as populated back then as you'll recall). Noah's family consisted of his sons and their wives, and again, if the flood was local, some people would have been spared.
What's more loving than dying for your people's sake?
"Most of the world's population" would be a stretch my friend. The Abrahamic religions make up the top three religions in the world and their followers number in the tens of millions.
You can't see the light if you refuse to. Remove the chip on your shoulder and give it an honest attempt. You might be surprised.

Mr Utopia
I take it we are having a fustratingly bad day, it happens to us all sometimes but there is no reason in attempting to justify the lack of knowledge on the desks of creationlists. Never mind we both know that their idea of 6 days is absurd, thats all that matters.
Chin up!

Only to a few is it absurd. 90% or better of the world believes in religion. And yes they all tell about the same story with God, Jesus, and Noah. Only the names change. You are not required to believe but you are required to leave me the **** alone with your loud mouth babble. Keep you opinions to yourself, the first amendment says that you have the freedom of speech but it does not say that you have to use it. Remember you have the right to remain silent.

First thing is you are thinking six 24 hour a day days and the days that it took him to create the earth were not measured in this fashion..
by the way do you want me to believe i evolved from a tad pole that got tired of swimming around so it took a stroll and along the way some how became man and if that is true why are we basically the same man from all those billions a years ago that we are now...
or do you have a different idea.. Please share...

If only more people understood that wondering about what fate will hand us next is the only way to see what's next. otherwise one can only expect the unexpected. REMEMBER THAT! do you want someone to one day kill you becuase you will not rise again my friend you have a choice eternal damnation or eternal enlightenment if you so wish to question the validity of something you were not around to see I'd say you need to question your faith in anything at all.

No I don't realize. What I do realize is that you're going to Hell (blasphemy Leviticus 24:15-16: "The man that curseth His God, shall bear his sin: And he that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die: all the multitude shall stone him, whether he be a native or a stranger. He that blasphemeth the name of the Lord, dying let him die")

Anyone can make anything sound absurd if they want to. That doesn't mean it's not reality. God's Wisdom is but foolishness to man, but man's wisdom is folly before God.

Oh ye of little faith, suppose that the bible is historically incorrect, in the end all that it asks is that we love one another, treat each other well and don't rip each other off. Why is that so bad??
