To a coin collector, it's worth would depend on the rarity, the condition, and the personal connection (e.g. Did the coin come from Hitler's pocket? Something like that.)

If you're talking about a U.S. penny from 1943, then as far as the federal government is concerned, it's worth exactly one cent, regardless of any of that coin collector stuff.

Most are worth about $.25, but ones with an S mintmark or in really nice condition are worth more.
