because Kung Fu are too complex to be use effective in real fight. There's too much rigid in the form, too much complex foot work, too slow, and hard to pulls techiques off effective. So in end other style that are more flexible, faster, and easier to do will always have huge advantage.

San Shou is one of very few Kung Fu that actually work well and that's because they doesn't use lot of complex techniques and stances that are unnatural for human body.

Because watering down kung fu to the level of MMA is counter to what kung fu practitioners strive for, perfection of technique. Many kung fu techniques are not sportmanslike. I agree with the previous answer.

Kung-fu practitioners play there game standing up most breaking and submissions are standing. So even if they've been taking kung fu for years there ground game is horrible. Not to say there isn't ground work just way less. And the breaks would be illegal because most of the breaks you can't tell your going to break the arm or leg till its actually broken or over strained permanently injuring the opponent. So in order to be a practical MM artist they would have to have judo or brazilian jujitsu training. But those are all full art forms and take many many years to master doing one at a time doing so many at once is very hard task. so i guess what i'm trying to say is there arn't any kung-fu artists in there for the same reaso ntehres know karate practitioners in there tehy would be all contact and no grappling because mos their grapplings illegal.

Simple answer... it's there. I see at least one style of Kung Fu all the time when it comes to guards and submissions... wing chung.

Also, punches, kicks and submissions as a fluid is one thing. Kung Fu practitioners kill fluidly. I think that might be against the rules.

back in the older UFC's when there were less rules and fights were sactioned, there was a handfull of Kung Fu guys. But back then, almost everything went, just no eye gouging, biting etc.

they kicked, elbowed to the groin, fought without gloves, no time limits etc.

check out the videos below... granted Hoyce Gracie is like a god in BJJ

Cause spinning flip kicks and horse stance knife hands don't do **** in a fight. It's about jabs and hooks, takedowns and throws. Add a dominant position and a submission, you win.

Kung Fu is a system best suited for kick the crap out of a person who has no idea what they are doing.

MMA calls for a mixed arsenal and versatility - so a person great in one school (grappling, striking, submissions) is at a disadvantage for the most part in a sport that calls for diversity of skills and tactical flexibility. Granted a one-trick pony can have a bit of success ( like Cro-Cop In Pride, for example), but long term success is best suited to someone multi-talented.

Because of the simple fact that it doesn't work. Just like most TKD, it's not effective in MMA. MMA has shown what styles are truly effective and what styles are only styles. You look in MMA today you see the same styles dominating. Wrestling, BJJ, Kickboxing, Boxing, and Muay Thai. If you are skilled in these areas, particularly wrestling and BJJ, you can go far.
