Man can never get rid of God. But God will have His way with those who baspheme Him and go against those who are obedient to Him and follow Him and His son Jesus. When God gave man the freedom to choose Him or satan, He did not do this with out explaining why it would be better to choose Him over satan. That informaion is all layed out in the bible. People, inspite of that information, still choose to stay with their spritual Father who is satan.
John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Man did not choose to get rid of God. Man choose to sin, and fall short of the glory of God.

By getting rid of God, man will be getting rid of themselves. God is in everyone and everything. And still, man do have free will to get rid of God and themselves.

I think to give someone the ability to freely choose to reject you shows justice. If some people had the sovereignty of God they would create robot-like creatures who had no choice but to accept their sovereignty.
There is no point in getting upset at people's choices, disappointment, yes but upset, no.
