it says its signing in.. but then it goes back to sleep

If this is the first time you're experiencing this problem then it's probably because the server's on downtime. I would suggest you wait a couple of hours and try then try again. I experienced a similar problem a few weeks ago but after a few hours everything was back to normal.

question ?? Does any sort of blunders message arise once you are attempting this ??.....additionally turn your firewall back on....that has no longer something to do with yahoo messenger...I even have 2 firewalls on in any respect cases for secure practices motives and that i by no skill have a concern....

Try changing your proxy settings for YM.
