with a bankruptcy they can go back over anything you have disposed of in last year and make sure you got value for money for it. so you could sell your house and the bankruptcy trustee can go to the new owners and say "give me X thousand or the house isnt legally yours". if you get equity from the sale this MUST be used to settle part of your debts, either bankrupt or IVA. i would talk to your IVA advisor because the first thing they will do is put a charge on the house anyway and so your house sale will come to a shuddering halt.

If they are able to force you into bankruptcy now, selling your home won't stop that. Don't take jackie916949's advice to 'just disappear'. Failure to show up for court in an ongoing case is contempt of court and can land you in jail. You may need the bankruptcy courts permission to sell the house. At the very least, the buyer must be informed of the pending bankruptcy.

if you dont tell them where you are moving to, they wont even know, iva is as its called voluntary, if you are selling your house i wouldnt tell the people who are buying it your new address, its just incase they try to trace you through them, these are secondary debt anyway, and you cant be made to go bankrupt and you cant go to prison for secondary debts, i,d just disapear and leave it behind, millions of other people do, good luck! love jackie
