I'm living in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and you can find a bar if you come to the main road. In fact, I'm chinese. I have been working here for almost 6 years. There is nothing interesting except Ethiopian coffee. I will be driven to mad someday.
It seems I'm going too far. Enjoy your time!

I live in Somerset/Devon and my nearest bar is 5 mins walk away and have only been in there 3 times in the last 10 years, prefer to stay at home to have a drink.

When I first moved to Nottingham, England, I stopped and asked this guy 'where's the nearest boozer?'.

He belched and said 'you're talking to him'

I love it here and live near, not in, the city.

The nearest bar is about half a mile away, but it's a racist bar.

100 yards further is a great place called the Bentick Hotel, siht pub but colourful characters.

I live in Walnut Hill, IL and the bar (AC Pitstop) is just about 4 blocks from my house. The bar is just on the outside of town. The whole town is only about 4 blocks long. Only other business we have in this place is a barber shop which is only open 2 or 3 days a week. The bar also serves excellent food.

Swansea, south wales, Uk
My nearest pub/bar is about a 10 minute walk from my house, but my nearest "acceptable" drinking place is in Swansea centre (about 30 minutes by bus).

I hate swansea and can't wait to move back to Brighton

Norwich, so that's quite tricky - I have a pub at either end of my street (which is only around 100 yards long!), one slightly further up the hill from me, and at least four more within a five minute walk.

My actual "local" or regular pub is a whole ten minutes away - the Adam and Eve down by the river. (Est: AD960. That's not 1960. It's over a thousand years old.)
