Sure you can! However, icing a warm cake will just cause the icing to melt and run down the sides.

Since you're in a hurry, have some warm cake, ice cream and drizzle the icing (after you've nuked it a few seconds so it becomes "pourable") as a dessert sauce on top.

Very easy !! Take a 'can' of frosting, peel off the protective seal, set the lid loosely on the top of the 'can' , place it in the microwave on medium (5) level for about 1 1/2 or 2 minutes - or longer - until you can pour it ! OR put the 'can' in hot water until it 'melts'. Love a warm cake with frosting !!!

if the cake is too warm the frosting will melt and get all runny. The best bet is to let it cool most of the way unless you aren't that worried about what the finished product will look like.

Stick the cake in the refrigerator until it cools down. You don't want to frost it when its still warm. It dosent look good & it becomes a real mess.

If you want the frostin gto run all over the place, go ahead, frost it while it is hot. Best thing to do is take it out of the pan and put it on a cake plate in the freezer for a few.

Don't frost a warm cake. If you want it to cool down faster, try using a baking rack, remove from pan, of course. Or cover with a moist towel and stick in frige.

Not only will the frosting get runny, but a lot of crumbs and pieces of the cake could break off while your frosting.

Yes, I can't recall but either Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker created a Pour On microwaveable frosting. It was kind of messy but it worked. Cake turned out just fine.

As long as it is not hot enough to melt the frosting. Try a small amount first and wait a minute to see.

try this recipe b/c it's warm for the warm cake

2 tablespoons hot water, or milk or light cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla, lemon, or other extracts, or 1 teaspoon lemon juice or rum
1 cup confectioners sugar
Stir the liquid into the sugar, adding more, a few drops at a time. The icing is of the proper consistency when it coats the spoon.
