for several days the woman i actually love has more or less ignored me. yesterday I got exactly 7 words out of her.... I counted. Would it be safe to assume it is over and I should move on? Perhaps i'm a bit dense, but guys are not exactly famous for taking hints.

Ask her what the deal is first.

sometimes girls act distant to protect themselves when they feel that they are getting to attached.

It sounds like you two are due for a long talk about where your relationship is headed.

I would talk to her before I assumed anything. Just be frank and ask her if there is something going on you need to know about. She may have something else on her mind that she doesn't want to drag you in the middle of, that's why I say don't assume anything. Sometimes we all need some alone time or quiet time where we don't feel like talking to others or even being around anybody else.........even married people, so don't think the worse until you ask her what is bothering her.........good luck

u love her? have u told her this? do u make sure she FEELS it? perhaps there is something missing... u gotta find out what it is. and if u are "dense", it's ok.... as long as you do ur best to FIX the problem.

either she is not satisfied about something, OR she is a brat. either way, u gotta find out *before* u move on! just talk to her. as a Man, u can't be afraid of rejection, u can't be afraid of how a woman feels. u have to be strong, and confident, in ur ability to do what is Right, for her, and by her. as you are strong, so she will be able to trust you. and i mean do the Right thing, for the relationship; not strong as in "whatever you say Goes, and u are always right cuz u the man." nope...it doesn't work that way.

having said this, u are unhappy w/ the relationship right now. u are feeling neglected; therefore she is neglecting you. whether or not u deserve it, we don't know. u don't know. u gotta find out. heres' the thing: if she Validates your feelings, that means she understands that you are feeling neglected..even if she didn't mean to do it, perhaps she is busy w/ school, or stressed out from work? but Find Out..and let her know that u feel neglected. how she reacts will tell you if she loves you too, in the way that You need. remember, u need to do that for her as well. if she talks to you, and says something, u have to Validate her feelings, even if u didnt' mean to do anything bad to her. u need to be able to work together to fix things. Communication is the KEY. u may love eachother, but no communication or trust will end up nowhere.

good luck, and be a good, honest, confident, concerned and helpful man and find out how to make things better. for you And for her!! and if she is not treating you right, u have to find someone who will. if u make sure u are a good boyfriend, and loving and caring and willing to grow and learn and do right for her and by her, then u are perfectly right in expecting a girlfriend who will do the same for you.

Not always John, sometimes she needs her space. sometimes it is better to let us be mad for a while, it doesnt mean we dont still love our man. Then I would have to wonder what you said or what you did to her. Or how you acted.
Sometimes men are so immature and sometimes we just get tired of dealling with the issues, and men have a habbit it that it is to be their way and their way only and that the female can either live with it because men dont actual really listen to what we have to say for the most part, they will listen to a stranger or their buddies frist, and well your woman becomes a thrid party and heck we don't like being put on the back burnner.
But I can see instead of facing the problem your ready to run away and move on. Like most men I can restly asure that you have acted like I discribe about. correct me if I am wrong , but before you do please step back and really look and soul search before answering me.
Really take a hard look at yourself an really pay attetion to how you have acted or what you have said, or what you have done.
Then judge yourself harshly. before you answer.

Maybe, Maybe not. Did you find out what the problem is? Maybe something is bothering her.

You should talk to her and ask her what is going on. (it might be kinda hard if she ignoring you huh LOL), but seriously, if she still refuses to talk, I would say its time to go. What is the point of staying in a relationship?

And if the problem she is having is about you, she should be mature enough to talk to you about it, not ignore you. You need communication for a relationship to work out. If she is always like this, I would probably leave anyway.

Ask her. See if it is just something bothering her. Women are famous for not saying something and just letting it build up until one day we blow. See what is going on and then make a choice. Communication is the key to any relationship and if yours is missing it then it might be time to move on. Good Luck.

Several days is a bit soon to assume that. Try not to count the words, maybe that's annoying her.

If she said 7 words to you then you still have a chance to fix whatever is wrong. Because there is something wrong. You need to ask her and fix it. If she didn't want to go out with you anymore she probably wouldn't even be around to say those 7 words.

You should come out straight and ask her if something is wrong. If you love her the relationship is worth saving.
