Air whether fresh or not always tastes of what it has picked up on its way to you. In the countryside in spring it will taste of flowers and trees and be really fragrant and sweet. In autumn it will taste of fungi and damp and bonfires and have a special flavour about it too. At night in winter, summer spring or fall, it may taste of your lover if you're lucky - and that's the best taste of all

This summer I got caught in a rip tide while surfing. I am a surfer girl so I can swim but I am not that strong. I was pulled under and knew that I was going to die. Then just as I was blacking out I suddenly shot to the surface and gulped in a huge hacking breath of air. It tasted like life.

I live in the middle of a forest, high on a mountain. You city people will never know the freshness or the quality of the very slight pine scented pure air.

Beautiful, especially when tasted with the liberty and away from the stench of deceit and hypocrisy

Go to the west coast of Ireland when there is a westerly gale blowing (98% of the time) and feast upon it. It will make your head dizzy.
