First you need to contact your local Small Business Administration. Their services are free and they can guide you as to what you need to do to get a business set up.

Well,

if I were you:

1) I would do a research on the viability and market potential
2) register my biz name
3) set out a plan of what results i want to acheive
4) execute and find the talents required

But pls plan and make sure you have alot of extra cash left over because 90% of first time small businesses fail because they usually are unable to sustain themselve long enough...

Also, most first time business people do not have a business man mindset. I mean.. Bill Gates will certainly have a diff mindset from say a road sweeper..

Your mindset will determine the decisions you make and the actions that you take and give you the result tat you want.. so if you do not have a boss's mindset yet, I would suggest that you get it right first before you start your own business.

If not, you will just be paying school fees...

That's my personal experience.... Hubby invested in loads of money to start a comics cafe and FAILED horribly.. losing lots of money. I guess that is what happens when you have a try try sort of mindset, no experience and no focused goals.

Now that we learnt from this experience, I am doing a business again. This time round, I have paired up with experience businessmen and am focused on developing solutions to develop global enterpreneurs.
