Probably not. Bluetooth is a way for devices to communicate to each other without using a wire. Mostly in the US this is used to connect a cell phone to a headset (so you don't have to have a wire between the two)

bluetooth can also theoretically be used for things like transfering files to your phone, and I've heard of it being used for things like automatically starting your music player or web browser when you come within a certain number of feet.

The only practical use for Bluetooth, other that earphones, is for a cellphone to communicate with a GPS system in a car. Cars no longer have built in cellphones. They use the GPS in combination with a cellphone. You can receive and make calls using the GPS system and leave the phone in your pocket.

I guess you could find a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard for the computer if you wanted it.

Bluetooth should NEVER be left OPEN (ON) on a mobile phone,

It is possible to hack the phone and make it dial a
premium rate number without the owners knowledge/consent.

However to connect your phone is o.k, because (Hopefully)
your in a secure location I,E your home.

Mind you u might just as well use a USB cable for your phone...
