The morning exercise thing is a great idea. Be sure to eat breakfast first as your body burns 35% more calories while exercising during the 30 minutes after eating. Another reason morning exercise is good is that it gets your heart going for the day, you will metabolise more calories throughout the day by starting your day with a brisk walk. Best wishes

Well, ROUND is a SHAPE!
Seriously, though, try the following : do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. The 45 minute thing is not true, but don't over 60 minutes at a time.
Do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read fitness magazines, like Shape and Fitness for motivation and tips.
Good luck and stick at it.

I think the first step is deciding when your body feels best exercising. That is, if your body aches and hurts in the morning, then you might try exercising in the afternoon when your body feels more comfortable and stretched out. Ultimately, if you can feel good exercising, it won't be hard to find the discipline to keep doing it. And if you really get into it, you'll work your schedule around your exercise time.
Trick yourself into getting addicted to working out. Dieting and other hard stuff can come later. The important part is to set weekly attainable goals, then set progressively more challenging goals each week. Before you know it, you'll be in some sort of shape.

Just walk 30 minutes a day.
What I did when I worked F/T was to use half of my lunch hour walking around the building's perimeter.
To lose weight, try cutting back more on the low nutrition food (fast food, desserts, junk). The more a food is processed, the more it's empty calories with little or not nutrition.

Easiest way to loose a little weight is to walk. No need to job or run yet, first get in the habit of walking. Your walks should take about 45 minutes or longer. Doing them in the morning is okay, or even in the evening after dinner/supper is good. Helps to digest that food and gets your metabolism moving.

To lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume. A pound of fat is the equivilant of 3500 calories, so for every 3500 calories you burn, you'll lose a pound. Track everything you eat, and work out at least three times a week. Strength training will help as well, because the more muscle you have, the faster you burn fat.
