Know of a couple of people with a big age gap without a problem.
As they say, love has no barriers.

Practically, do note the potential problems you will face if you look very far into the future. No idea how old you are, making some assumptions. Love -> Marriage-> Kids

Children -> Old means might be harder to have a child/ too old to take care of the child/ see his children grow up

Health -> His health might deteoriate earlier than you, means you might not have as much time in life to enjoy with him.

Not sure about what other kind of potential problems within your his & your own relatives/friends. These might affect you if your family/friends are really important. They can really put a wedge into your happiness if they do not approve of it.

Sorry about giving some cold observations, but do let your brain give some judgement instead of just your heart and think it through about. There could be an another great guy in the future but just not too much older. Just thought to my two cents about it.

Cheers & Bottoms Up.

i have had boyfriends 11 years older then me, one when i was 18 and he was 29 and the other when i was 19 and he was 30, the relationships didn't last but it had nothing to do with age, i don't no how old you are so its hard to tell but i think if your over 16 then an 11 year age gap is fine, the main thing is how you get on together, age is just a number, you may have allot more in common with him then a man your own age which isn't surprising!
in fact that sort of age gap between a man and woman is very common!
so don't worry and stay with him and hopefully things will work out

Age is a state of mind. Women mature faster than men so you are probably mentally on a level with a 10 to 15 year age difference. Age is a state of mind. Older women marry younger men and vice versa. Everybody on the face of the earth is different from the next person. You failed to go into detail; such as if he has three ex-wives and a dozen kids or has just gotten out of prison or whatever. The circumstances of each case are unique to that particular happenstance. Good luck to you.

Um it depends on your age. Are you under age. Are you 19 or younger? That me not be good. Um.....I am 23 and my fiance is 37, we have been together for 3 years, we have a house and we are getting married next year in July. There is a 15 year difference with our ages but we love each other very much. If you feel like you can be a grown up and do growm up things then go for it. If you are questioning it then it may always be a problem. I never question it anymore, I just know that he makes me happy! Do what is in your heart! Good luck!

What is your ages.. that might be important. But other wise, No, nothing wrong with that. My grandfather was 16 years older than my grandmother (and he still managed to out live her.. he died last year at 99). Some people say that an older guy has the maturity of not wandering (as much) and tend to have a steady life. Good luck.

No it is not. My Husband is 11yrs 6mo and 15 days older than I am. As both of you mature together you become closer. A woman matures faster than a guy remember? If you are under the age of 18 it is a bad thing. We are 30 and 41. I feel that with the age difference we both have the experiences that we needed to go through life together. We have more in common than I have with guys my own age.

my boyfriend is 18 yrs older and I love him very much and he treats me better then anyone I've ever been with. I am 21 and he is 38. I do not have an older man complex, I've never dated anyone older then 2 yrs my senior, but guys my age just want to play video games and are just too immature. The man I'm with now is everything i want in a guy to spend my life with, So NO, there is nothing wrong with it age is just a number, and holds no water when it comes to love.

Your age is very important. Also, know that you like him and is not just into it b/c he's an older person. Keep in mind also that there are things that he has experienced that you have not. In 10 more years will you be so excited about the 11 year difference. Don't just go with the feeling......think about the long term. Again, your age is very important in this.

It depends upon how old you are and how old he is. I was dating a guy 10 years older then myself but I was 27 and he was 37. If you 17 and hes 28 I think no I mean what would you have in common? But after you reach a certain age (usually around 21) age does not matter in terms of dating.

If your over the age of 18 and he is 11 years older then you then I see nothing wrong with it. My husband is 10 years older then me and it doesn't bother me. What bad things will come along if you are with someone 11 years older then you. Something can come along bad even if you wanted to be with someone exactly your same age.
