What is the biggist mistake your generation made with thier kids.

Giving them all the things that we never had.
Spoiled 'em rotten.
When they married, they expected every thing that we took 10 years to obtain. Everything new. Own a house. New car, or 2. TV or 2. High fashion clothes. Maybe 2 of everything.
And we even helped with those.
Parents did not want their children to be "deprived". Geeezzz.
And we fought the drug scene.
My son, "not a druggie", died in an auto. The same year, 5 of his friends died of drugs.
The girls turned out OK.

I am a baby boomer but sadly, both parents are deceased.
