Pure maple syrup is much more expensive. Mrs. Butterworth's is just regular sugar syrup with some maple flavoring.

I think the pure is more expensive - I 've seen it for like 7 or 8 bucks for a small bottle. Mrs. Butterworth goes for no more than $4 I think.

No. It's corn syrup with brown food coloring. There may be a *small* bit of real maple syrup in it, but for the most part it's just sugar with coloring and artificial maple flavor added.

The real stuff ~ Maple Syrup can be costly. But oh baby worth it. I find since it has such full flavor I don't have to use as much either. I also use it a sweetner in my baking~ Muffins & such. yummmmyyyy

I couldn't tell you because since I was a child all I have used is Aunt Jemima. I love that syrup!!! I get it anywear from 2.99 to 4.99 so it's not that bad but it is so good.

I have and use them both.
Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.
Pure maple is far more expensive per ounce.
