That was freaking hysterical. My son has ADHD and ODD sometimes you wish you could do that. I will keep this video link when I need a time out and need to laugh when the parenting stress hits me.
That was great. I love seeing the 3rd kid get the message. LMAO. YEAH (Insert the way Howard Dean says it here)

A lot of the ADD ADHD problems stem from playing too many video games. The fast moving images destroy a childs ability to focus on anything for an extended period of time.
Also dietary issues can be a root cause. I have heard of dairy intolerances being a contributing factor. Once the parent took dairy out of the diet, the kid mellowed right out.
My sister had allergies to red food dyes when we were kids (pre-ADD) and she would just go nuts anytime she ate anything with red dyes in it. Today, doctors would have just put her on ritalin.
It's a shame when parents take the quick fix and drug their kids rather than finding the root cause for the symptoms.

I can't see the video. I would be interested in viewing it. I do find, however, that methods of working with children with ADD or ADHD can vary greatly depending on severity and home life.
As for Spyro's answer, he should check out a book called, "You Mean I'm Not Lazy, Crazy or Stupid". I do agree that ADD and ADHD are a convenient diagnosis these days and it's often diagnosed by someone not qualified to make the proper diagnosis but it is a real disease.

I haven't seen the video....but i have a suspicion that the video displays some inhumane method.
as for the whole theory of ADD....there is no such thing!!! ADD is what happens when parents don't pay attention to their children and try to dope them up in order for the parent to go own with their own lives. so it's not the child that needs to be diagnosed..it's the parents!!!

I can't believe that people would think that was funny! I have twins that have ADD. It's not the parents fault, or the child's. It's a chemical imbalance in the brain. Slapping a child is not funny ever!

to save people some time I thought this might be a serious question too but it's a 'southpark' out take.
Your question says you agree with hitting kids to get them to shut up and do school work.... I hope you're not serious.

ADD is hardly real. I didn't watch the video, but it's dumb that people keep giving their kids medication for something that doesn't really exist. It's about their diet, maybe reduce their kool-aid intake, and up their essencial fatty-acid intake, and maybe they won't have this so-called 'ADD' anymore.

ADD is a made up disease. If children can't concentrate, then it's the parents that are the problem.
