What is the biggest mistake parents have made in your generation?

Many parents in my generation spoiled their children. They would try to give them things they didn't have.
My husband and I raised our four children the way we were raised and now they are all taking care of themselves and their families. They had to work to buy their first cars, we didn't do it for them. They paid their own way to college, we couldn't afford to send them. They've learned the value of a dollar and the benefits from a hard days work. We're very close to all of them and very proud.

I have a son who is 32 September the 23rd, I'm sure I have made mistakes, but as he has turned into a lovely compassionate and caring person and is now bringing up along with his wife my two adorable grandchildren, my mistakes can't have been that serious.

nope, but i am in my thirties and i will say the biggest mistake my parents made is not hugging me enough! :)
