It doesn't take any rights away from me. But they are sinning against themselves. Here is what the bible says about homosexuality.

In Genesis 19:1-29 the cities of Sodom and Gommorah were destroyed because the people were so wicked. The men of the city wanted to have sex with other men. So God's judgement on the city was to destroy it by raining down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Leviticus 18:22 (speaking to men in Israel) "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."

Leviticus 20:13 "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

Romans 1:26-27 "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

1 Corinthians 6:9 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders...will inhereit the kingdom of God."

1 Corinthians 6:13 "The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body."

1 Timothy 1:8-10 "We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers."

Even though you don't yet see the consequences of living in an immoral lifestyle--that doesn't mean there aren't any.

For a long time smoking tobacco was allowed everywhere...now laws have been changed only recently.....because we are just now learning about the consequences of second hand smoke--

God knows all about the consequences of complicated matters, and in his great love he teaches us through his Son which way we should take.

God has set before us the way of life and the way of death

Choose life.

None. Which is why it is one of the many reasons it is legal in Canada.

Personally, religious belief aside, I think the fundamental reason for wanting to take marriage rights away from gays and lesbians is economic. If they are legally married that gives them the same rights and "benefits" as heterosexual couples. Giving them the same rights and benefits suddenly puts an extra burden on insurance companies and the like. Consequently the "stop it at all costs" attitude. Sad. Very sad. It's discrimination, pure and simple.

Nothing; although I have nothing against gay marriage and I recongnize its sinful nature in God's eyes, two people who are living their lives through a homosexual relationship does not affect my life. Homosexuals do not take any rights away from me and they do not have any effect on my life. Their decision to be married only affects themselves.

ok first of i want to let u know that i support gay marrigaes bu i have been told why this is breaking the law.

what it is about it that a marriage is only used for 2 things to procreate and to get closer to god. to get closer to god is threw sex in a marriage. this is only threw sex what they call the right way with a man and women like in the bible. ok then they understand that times have changed but the laws havent and so they now say that u can be gay but u must not act out on it. It will show god that you are not under the will of lust. In a sence its like being a virgin for life because of the life style you choose. homosexuality takes away the right of the person to getting as close to god as possible and to procreate.

If you legalize, Homosexualities, practices completely, than you are allow Kids to have sex with older men. Incest will be more herd of. Pedophiles will will become more popular. There many reason when you investigate why god truelly loaths homosexuality.

Everything that sin leads to is what Sodom, Gamorah and the surrounding area had. That is why god destroyed it all completely.

That wasn't out of hate, but out of love, because he didn't want that lifestyle spreading around.

Secondly think of all the disease, that homosexuality carries with it.

the bible says that all sins are sins commited outside your body, but sexual immorality is a sin against your own body. and homosexuality is defined as a sexual immorality.
so, murder and homosexuality can not be put in the same category because the bible, which is the point of referecne in your questin, already separates them into different categories.

nothing. Getting married is a social thing not religious necesarily, nowadays being married help your financial status. Gays should have their right to get married but not to influence children so early like they are doing now on TV. I bet you that's why the Government won't homosexual marriage.
