I hear it all the time, such as comments on sexuality, intolerance, and the advocation of abuse. Obviously the opposite of real Judeo-Christian ideals. Let's not mince morals; this for that. When did Christians become so blind to humanity and forgiveness that a common man can no longer find it outside of text? Do Christians; that is, those who believe in the teachings of Jesus, still exist on any level? Did this decline occur at the destruction of the Temple on the Mound, or was it later? When, and why, did christians become war like and intolerate in the first place? Lastly, spiritually, does this indicate that the places in Heaven are full, and we are now abandoned? Intolerant and vemomous attacks I will have to take as "Yes, Christianity no longer exists." Sorry. I suppose that's the point though. I'm becoming jadded myself with so much hateful and provoking speech against innocent questions.

Many of these answers are very good, but I think the point is being missed. The early Christians did not fight, no matter what. This has gone the other way now, where to be Christian it is expected you fight. I might also say, although off topic really, Muslims are the same. We don't do things as Christians do, yet we call ourselves Christian. It seems a bit odd to me. Although it does look as though some poeple are still trying to stick to scripture as well as context. That answers the question of how far gone we really are I suppose.

Every since the religion was taken over enemies to the faith it has been a tool of mis-rule and a proliferator of mis-translation. It should be called Paulism, the agent of the war crazy Romans. Thats like accepting the word of Islam from George Bush! Heaven is the darkness and safe place that is your mind, it is known that the mind exsistes independent of the brain. Which is the reason some have outer body experiences. The concept of God(good) and Satan(adversary) or Devil(accuser, slanderer) are all attributes within people. So it is up to us which we express.

Christians still exist. That you can be sure. And true ones for that matter. Remenber the story about how Elijah ran and eventually desired from God to die as he thought he was the only one left of the believers. He was informed that there were over 7,000 and still counting. That you are surrounded with hatred and lies etc as stated does not signify non existence of true christians. It only points to the nearness of the end time as predicted by the Bible. Come to think of it, it may be that you are positioned in that location for a time like this. Having knowledge of what is good and bad, you can commence a ministry and correct the ills that have been noted by you. Forget not that we are all Royal Priest to preach the word to the end of time whem christ will come. If you do nothing in the face of the noted ills, you are as corrupt as the people you are condeming. Read the books of Proverbs and Esther.

God bless you.

To me, its good that some things never change. Society is on a slippery slope. As morals continue to degrade (at an increasing rate), Christian values are "hoped" to maintain a high water mark.

Within the parameters of your question, I think there are two areas to consider. First, the human element. Sadly, you are right, there are MANY Christians that rush to judge others. I am a Pentecostal (probably one of the more extreme ends of the spectrum). In our faith, I am very sad to say, that there are many that look down their noses at non-Pentecostals. I am completely in agreement with you that that is wrong and VERY unacceptable. However, the second point is that sadly, we do need peole reminding us constantly that our lives are a battle. There is a good vesus evil struggle going on. For that, I am thankful for those that "compassionately" remind me. Ultimately, I take comfort in the fact that there are rights and wrongs in this world and that it is MY responsibility through prayer and fasting to stay on the narrow path.

Its easy to become jaded. But I challenge you to look above the human element and see the real purpose of the standards which are set. I admit its not easy. Thats why (and I quote from the movie "Rudy") "I know two things, there is a God, and I am not him".

You have mistaken Christianity for religion. No religion is perfect. If you become associated with a particular religion the beliefs that they have become what people see as your beliefs. Real Christians believe in the Holy Bible and learn from the teachings therein. We don't have to have some priest or preacher tell us what is right or wrong - we leave that up to the Lord. The Bible teaches about sin - what is right and wrong. But it also teaches that we are not to judge other people unless we want to be measured by the same measuring stick ourselves.

Yes, Christianity does exist, in the heart and mind of every true believer.

I summarise Christian living as Love All, Forgive All, Show Mercy and Judge No-One. In my Blog I have put the references along with the New Testament teaching on judgement.

In addition to this, Jesus said "Do not resist the evil man" in other words, do not retaliate. He also said that we should rejoice when we are persecuted and to return good for evil.

What does this mean? We state our position. We fulfil our roles as Ambassadors for The Kingdom of God. We show His mercy and grace. If someone slanders us we keep silent. If someone puts on a show or somethging that pokes fun at us, our beliefs, or even Jesus, we let them. Why should we expect non-believers to see things the way we do? Jesus said that blasphemy against Him could be forgivem. It is only blasphemy against The Holy Spirit that cannot be forgiven.

God is more than capable of defending Himself without our help. He can bring conviction, grace and repentence to someone that maligns Him.

So, my answer to you is True Christianity is very much alive. Christians who willingly obey The Holy Spirit above every rule of man, who refuse to bow down to any god but God Almighty, who endure any persecution for His sake, who bring His glory into the World, they are still around.

It is hard to respond to generalities, but maybe you are not talking with the Christians that are mature in their faith.

Then there are anti-Christians pretending to be Christians and spewing hate to make us look bad.

I think you might need to go to a real church and not put to much stock on words here.

Where, in heavens name, do you go to church?

Oh I see, this is a common misconception and one of the big reasons why kids today have so many problems. People mistake tolerating bad behavior with love.

Real love, corrects those who are hurting themselves, stops the strong from oppressing the weak and holds people accountable for their actions to each other and their country.

To stand by and be content with yourself and let others go to hell is selfishness and extremely unkind.

God doesn't change with the wims of society. He is always there with an eternal outlook on all of us.

Are you basing your Christian walk with those that say they are Christian's? If so maybe you error in that way, for if we looked at others for our christian experience, then surely we would all fall. Look to Jesus Christ, for one that sticks closer than a brother, test drive the real thing. Not something someone else is doing. The bible says love thy neighbor as thy self, well if we don't as Christians we need to re-examine our own Christian walk. Be Blessed

U know the in the history there is only one tru christian that is Jeasus. All the other are morphing like him. Christianity is noble and its nobleness rests in unknown people not in lime light.

In the same way u can determine all ie Nabi(sa azam) etc

Congratulations, you've reached the first step to thinking for yourself and stop listening to other people, like Christians, or whomever, who want to tell you how you should live your life. It is not big news that Christians have always wanted to impose themselves upon others, they tried to make Indians Christians, when they already have their own set of customs and need no one to tell them what to do. The best thing you can do is stop going to church and stay with your family on sundays.
