A high quality dog food. They are expensive but to maintain healthy muscles and a shiny coat, you need a food thats mostly made of meat and rice - not corn.

Also, excercise him. Not too much, as it will make his muscles deteriorate. But a good job every day. Playing. Antyhing that gets his body moving combined with a really good diet, will build his muscles.

Also, huge and kisses help.

I have two siberian huskies. My hubby runs them on the bike every night. The boy dog's muscles are very strong from this. The answer is excercise. Don't fall for the fancy expensive dog food hype. Dog food is dog food. I used to feed them the super-expensive Science Diet which they hated, then one day I switched them to Beneful (i believe its by Purina), which is 1/4 the price, and they love it, and their health and coats are glorious.

plenty of exercise walk him/her for at least 2-3hours a day morning early evening. Make sure you run him/her not just walk. Go up & down stairs run a distance. Keep them moving get a toy or stick to play catch with it really works. They will be fit in no time and so will you.

why do you want to build your dog's muscles? does his vet recommend it? if so, he can tell you how to do it safely and to your dog's nutrional benefit.

if you want to beef him up for fighting, you're a sick f==-k. if not, then my apologies.
