Immature Men?

What would make an immature grow up? Does he have it learn it the hard way? Does he have to be ready to make the choice himself?

Some men never grow up, others do over time and experiences. It really depends on the guy. I had no choice but to mature at 18 (went into the service and that will starighten anyone out lol.)

Really just depends on the guy and when he's ready. I don't know if there's a single aspect that would make a man mature. I'd like to say having a child but I see so many friggen deadbeats with children I know that doesn't do it.

The answers to your questions:

a) Nobody can make an immature person grow up. He is that way because he or she has never faced real responsibilties for themselves growing up. This can be quite sad when they get to be an adult and then have to make adult decisions like maintaining a household, holding down a job or having to raise a child.

b) Learning the hard way is the only way they will learn. It means they will fail and fail again until he or she realize that the real world doesn't live in ideal situations and live happily ever after. It is now time to lose the naiveness.

c). Until he or she sees that it is time to grow up because of answer b), then there is nothing you or anyone else can do to make them grow up. In the meantime you need to leave the guy or girl because one wants to date/marry an adult and not a little kid.

I think i understand you're saying that men are immature...well some are not all...men who are immature are the ones who had everything done for them by their mothers, so which ever woman they get, they expect to be treated like how their mothers treated them...the only way for them to grow up is with a stiff kick, so to speak up the backside, and to be put in the dog house...basically to learn the hard way.

Some men just mature A LOT slower than others; since I don't know his age or your relationship with him (boyfriend, husband, etc.) I can't give you a real honest answer because your question is a little vague.
In regards to any man becoming more mature, than yes, I think someone could do it by themselves. However, they might need some motivation; for instance, maybe immerse him in a more mature environement, he might start to like it.
