I dated my brothers best friend when I was groqwing up and I would not suggest doing it. It's too complicated of a situation for all three of you.
My suggestion would be to not take things to serious with him. If you are determined to do it then ask your brother how he feels first and make sure that he is not going to intrude on your relationship.

Believe me dating one of your brothers friends is a bad idea. Your brother will always be in the middle of things. Especially if things don't work between you two or you two are having problems, your brother will have a problem picking whos side to be on. I know, I've been through that. It's very hard for everyone involved. So think twice about it.

If you really like this boy go for him. Why do you care what people think about him. Nobody says that this will be your last date, right? If you don;t try you will have thoughts for a long time. You will always think what was going to happen, how your life would have been turned and so on. People learn from their mistakes, before they try they never believe.
Give this boy a try... you never know... he may be better than most people think.

No way should you date your brothers friend. Your brother will end up hating him and they will lose their friendship. You like to tell your guy friends what you do with a girl you can't really tell your friend you slept with his sister without him being pissed off. He wants to be your protector so forget it find someone else.

Dating your brothers friends is hard. If it doesn't work out your brother gets stuck in the middle and you will still see him. Find someone outside your brothers circle.
