Because people are stupid. If they actually did research into comparing the two religions, they would have more of a basis for such an opinion. But until they know another religon as well as they know their know their own, they have no right to say such hateful things. However, if they have done research and know the other religion quite well, they can at least support their opinions.

Do you really know what Islam is truly about? The majority of people who follow the Islamic religion have never read the Koran and they are not suppose to. That is why the Koran is not translated into other languages. When you find someone who know what the Islam religion truly stands for you find that they usually don't chose to follow it because of the core principles that are to be followed. When you get down to the basics Christians and Islamics don't have the same principles. Christians go to a heaven were everyone is equal. Islamics go to a heaven where men have a harem of women. What a way for a women in that religion to spend eternity. Being a sex slave to men. I would hate to go to that heaven although many men I'm sure would love it. That is just one of the ways that things are different.

Interesting question. Both Islam and Christianity came from Judaism. Both Christians and Muslims killed people because of their religion. Christians stopped doing that for some reason (thats good). Both Christianity and Islam believe in Moses and his 10 commandments. Anyway, i have no idea why christians think Muslims are pure evil. Maybe it's a cultural thing.

The only remote similarities between Islam and Christianity is that they are monotheistic, and claim Abraham as a patriarch. Any other similarities are at best superficial. The differences outweigh the similarities.
An example:
In Islam, the Qur'an states rather clearly, "Proclaim: Allah is One. Allah is Eternal. He neither begets nor was begotten." (Surah 112:1-4)
In Christianity, we believe that Jesus was begotten. (John 1:14) Jesus clearly states that He is God: "Truly, truly I tell you, before there was an Abraham, I am!" (John 8:58) Naturally, there are many other examples I could use, but it wouldn't really help.
Now, we have a conundrum. Either Islam is right, and Jesus is not God, nor begotten; or Christianity is right, and Jesus is God, and is begotten. We can't have it both ways. Islam will never hold to a belief that Jesus is God. And Christians will not accept that Jesus is not God, and is not begotten.

There are many things within Islam that I admire.
All Muslims are not evil.
But I don't believe that Muhammad is a true prophet because he did not live the perfect example.
Jesus is the Son of God because he did live the perfect example of Love, Peace, and Forgiveness.
There is confusion because there is no doubt that there are radical Islamic leaders preaching hate and that killing innocent people in the name of Allah is good. A Radical Islamic leader in Saudi Arabia has given approval to Bin Laden to kill up to 10,000,000 Americans right now.
They ARE there, I wish the moderate Muslims would admit that they are there and reign in the radicals before they ruin Islam and the world.
Peace!

I think there is no good reason for that.... i have many good friends that are christian and they understand islam well and they accept it....because they know it ......i think it may be that some christians misunderstand it or they fight all that is diffrent .and for some they are afraid of it because there is a bad image given about it (even if its not true).....by the way islam doesnt force anyone to be muslim...muslims have the duty to tell all people about islam and they can choose any religion they want.....and it wasnt spread by war ....it was spread by people.....

Pure evil is ramming an airplane into building to kill people you don't even know. I am sure a GOOD Muslim would never do that. I know it is wrong to led the minds and hearts away from Christ, but since they believe that THEY are the ones trying to reach people with God's truth I can see their error as not being evil just misguided. It is too bad that there are so many of that faith that think killing people who won't believe as they do should be killed...THEY ARE EVIL Jim

Islam does NOT have the same principles as Christianity, and therein lies the problem. The entire Islamic concept of jihad is antithetical to Christianity, which emphasizes forgiveness and mercy.

Mohammed purposefully added Chritstian principles into the Koran so it would be easier to pursuade Christians to become muslims. Mohammed said that Jesus was just a prophet, not God's son. If you read the Koran, as I have, it says to "Go out and kill all those who will not convert" Surah 9:99. Islam teaches Jihad as the only way to advance islam. Jesus taught us to be fishers of men, to convert them peacefully, not with war. Maohammed only spread islam through war. When Christians Kill in the name of religion, they are christians by name alone, they arent following the word of God.
When Muslims kill people in the name of religion, they are following the teachings of islam.

no one has the ability to remodel anybody who does no longer want to be changed. starting to be a actual Christian incorporates first a starvation for means, expertise and to carry close and serve the actual God. It incorporates humility. A willingness to be experienced once you consider that you savour there are concerns you don't know or possibly a number of your intently held beliefs is also in mistakes. it truly is in which honesty is offered in. you've were given to honestly admit to your self that you're in mistakes even as you word that you're. As a ways as a logical reply on your question proper the following it truly is: Jesus replaced into no longer God incarnate. He replaced into the son of God. (Matthew 27:40 3) No human can likely understand what God appears like by using very undeniable reality that he's a spirit.(John4:24) As to non-public tastes the Bible states that "God isn't partial" (Acts 10:34)
