Nope... Has the same long term risks of smoking for cancer. Just mouth and throat cancer rather than lung cancer. It is also very addictive like smoking.
Short term occasional use rarely hurts anybody. Been known to make a few kids turn green LOL. If usage exceeds once or twice a month that's too much and addiction becomes a risk. I started with chew and snuff and switched to smoking many eons ago. Wish I hadn't.

No it is horribly harmful! Ask my brother in law that got cancer of the throat and esphogas from it!!! It has fiberglass in it so that it cuts the gums to let the nicotine in so should you accidently swallow any, you risk cutting your throat and your stomach! His doctor said he would rather seen my brother in law smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day than use chewing tobacco.

No, it's just as bad if not worse than cigarettes. Cigarettes are known to cause lung cancer over a long period of time, whereas tobacco products that go in your mouth (dip, chew, snuff, etc.) have been known to cause mouth cancer very quickly.
