It would probably be declared unconstitutional if implemented as you have stated it.

You know, cora keeps saying the states can't do anything that touches on illegal immigrants, but that ignores court rulings that go the other way.
For example:
"June 21, 2006
Federal Court Again Upholds Prop. 200, Rejects Poll Tax Argument
"The US District Court for the District of Arizona has rejected a bid by Latino and voter-advocacy groups to temporarily halt a requirement that voters show government-issued identification to prove that they are US citizens when they register to vote. The measure, which was approved in 2004 in an effort to stop voter fraud, is part of Arizona's Proposition 200, which also denies some state public benefits to illegal immigrants and makes it a crime for public employees to fail to report undocumented immigrants who seek benefits outlined in the legislation," the Jurist site at Pitt reports. "Judge Roslyn Silver sided with the government, writing that 'determining whether an individual is a United States citizen is of paramount importance when determining his or her eligibility to vote.'"

I urge you send your letter of Concern to the White House,Congress and Senator. Meanwhile, send your letter to your Governor and ask your State attorney about the Immigration laws that he or she needs to enact.Create your web page and educate public about 12 million undocumented workers who sent money home approximately 3 billion dollars a year.By the way,the U.S. also needs to get the off shore investment American citizens who do not pay taxes.( 3 billion dollars )

Absolutely nothing.
States are forbidden under federal statute from enforcing immigration laws. Several states have tried, and because of the laws set by Congress, those state actions have been found invalid.

Small towns across the US are allready starting to do this very thing. Hazelton Pennsylvania was one of the first. Now other towns are looking to Hazelton to pass there own similiar laws. However our Beloved friends at the AACLU Anti American Civil Liberties Union of course are filing suit against them WHY you ask. Not to Protect America O Hell No. They don't wanna discriminate against Criminals who come here ILLEGALLY.

I think if it would be enforced it would help ease the flow of illegals as they would not have a place to live or work so they might as well stay home.

Forget the states or the feds, this must be done on the local level. town by town, city by city, borough by borough. Lets exert our rights as LEGAL citizens. Pass laws and ordinances to regulate what goes on in YOUR neighborhood.

it's an idea, but if we where to just enforce the laws we have now, should it not take care of this.
But I think we should be ready for a higher cost of living, there are a lot of job illegals for small wages.

I don't no if that has worked, are their still Mexicans in Hazelton Pa. they passed a law like that, I would have to no if it has worked first. but I think it is a good idea. each state has to protect them selves , because the government isn't doing anything.
