Regardless of all the mistakes he's made, I've made worse. He's been married before, and I never thought I would want to get married. (It seems like a Vegas vacation to most people) I find myself wanting him to propose within a few years. Should I just drop the idea until I know he's the one? I don't want it to be any time soon though.

Enjoy your time together as much as possible. Whenever a special occassion comes up, like an anniversary or Valentine's Day, maybe you could throw out some hints, just to see how he reacts. Examine how long you've been together too. If it's been at least a year or more, then ask him if he is ready to settle down yet. I'm sure he would be delighted to hear your feelings. Sometimes, it's hard for guys to make that move. Good-luck in your relationship!

Forget about the marriage stuff...things happen in their own time. Enjoy life and leave the details to time..if it is right, it will happen. If not, you will have done all that worrying for nothing. Good luck
