I have a new bed and I'd like to have a new look in my room. Can I use a duvet cover over my old comforter (still in good shape) to change the look?

sure--try using duvet clips (found at bedding stores) to assist with your shape in case the comforter is a bit smaller than the duvet. I'm doing that now in my bedroom & it looks awesome!

A duvet is great; it is like a sheet that wraps around a comforter! they are gaining attractiveness because of the fact the fewer than-sheet is out. Why spend all that factor making the mattress and tucking in the sheets, once you could basically throw the duvet on the mattress and be achieved with it. I additionally think of they are greater delicate than custom sheets/comforter combos. the different distinction is that a duvet needs to have the sheet conceal placed on, and a comforter is able to apply as-is, many times with prints and types on it.

yes. In fact, a duvet is the quickest and least expensive way to make changes in your bedroom. Like anything else, it has to be washed regularly.

Yes, very inexpensive way to make a change. If you can't find a color/pattern that you like, buy two flat sheets and sew them together, but you will need to attach velcro or sew on buttons and make buttonholes to fasten the 4th side.
