Ask her out. If she says no she isn't interested. If she says yes she is. Notice how she acts when she is with you.

Usually all 3 is pretty obvious. For the chick that isn't interested in you if she doesn't say it out right, she will clearly make all these sighing sounds when your around, start talking to others. Pretty much do anything to ignore you and show you that your prescence isn't welcome. For playing hard to get, you first have to capture her interest, by being witty and intriguing. If she likes that she'll give you her number, and thats when the chase is on, cuz when you do call she most assuredly might not be there, but then a few days later on into the week her schedule should be "clear". Now for the shy sort of girl, like myself. We pretty much don't come right out and say things straight away. If we like you, we will try to play it all cool, but might be a bit nervous and clumsy around you. Which is usually pretty normal, you would have to make "your" move on her before she has the courage to come up to you. I hope this helps you out.

That is a really really hard question. I guess if she's not interested, she'll tell you. Or she'll treat you like everyone else. If she's playing hard to get she deliberately flirts with other guys in front of you. If she's shy, she'll still look at you differently. She might even turn red. Honestly... just ask the girl what she wants... because... ususally we're not sure our selves and if we on top of that aren't sure of what you are feeling... then it gets really really messed up

If she looks happy you would know. Then she is shy.

If she is not interested she would tell you after you keep bugging her.

If she is playing hard to get, she would tell you to stop bugging her but will not tell you that she is not interested at all.

Caution though, if she is not interested, and you feel that she might be in that state, then do not use any crazy antics or keep bugging her, just be straightforward with your feelings and tell her sincerely, and ask for an honest response.

If she is really a good actress and does "honestly" reject you, you will know because she will tell you sooner or later.
