I've been looking at Maggie sottero wedding gowns, when I fell in LOVE with this "private collection" dress. It had a little bit of maggie style~ I just love it. I'd like to know if there is a catch with these, because they are not "designer name" dresses. If any body has had one or known somebody who had one for their big day...I'd love some input before I purchase. THANKS!

My daughter did the same thing as you. She had her heart set on Maggie Sottero and finally (because of price) settled on a "Private Collection" dress. It is stunning on her and everyone who see it on her just raves. They are beautiful dresses. I think Designer labels on a dress you will only wear once is highly over rated.

I wore a Vera Wang dress for my wedding. I am not sure on a private collection dresses. My opinion is that you always go back to the same dress. There will be a dress you put on and it will be "the dress". You may try on a thousand dresses there after, but you will always go back to "the dress". It sounds as if you found "the dress" for you. My only concern on buying a private collection dress is the fabric used. Top designers use top fabric. If it is a dress you may want to pass on as an heirloom than go for a designer gown if it is a dress you want to feel beautiful for you one special night of a lifetime than the dress you feel most beautiful in is the dress you should pick. Best of luck and best wishes.

There's no catch. It's like how buying the Equate brand at Walmart is the same as buying the brand name, but without the label. A friend of mine wore one she ordered from eBay, and it was fab!
