Fine with me. However, there may be problems with one or more family members on both sides.

If you are planning it, get counseling from clergy on both sides.

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Now I realize you will come back with the argument that they are both believers. But they don't believe in the same way. Seventh Day Adventists would never accept praying to an icon, the way Catholics do. And Catholics would never accept not having an allegiance to the Pope. If they are neither one very strong in their belief, it could work. If either one is devout in their belief, I only foresee trouble ahead. If they are truly in love, they could agree to attend a compromise denomination, say methodist or Lutheran or Presbyterian.

You could try attending a Unitarian church together once. They are accepting of all beliefs, and you could each worship in a different way while being together. Then by discussing your differences after that experience, you might be able to understand how big a problem this will be for you. There is no one correct answer, as people differ in how flexible they can be about religion without fighting. Good luck to you!

I think it would be tough, especially if both or either are strong in their faith.

From what I know about what SDA's think about Catholics, (much of which is misunderstandings) I think the families would be troubled.

I would hope that they would do a lot of talking with each other and the other's Religious leaders first.

yes if they love each other... i don't know about sda (7th day adventists), but i know that if they marry in the catholic church they will have to vow to raise their children catholic. if both are not in agreement with that then they may choose to marry in the sda church or in a neutral location such as a hotel or garden.

It shouldn't matter. We all worship the same God. It's the religious sects that try to keep us apart.
Blessings and good luck.

If they both agree to it, sure. Why wouldn't it be ok. They just have to work out how they are going to handle their religious differences.
