I am in Texas.

Spirit - maybe you shouldn't assume that this is a regular occurence esp. since I said I didn't realize I was speeding since it was a rural road and basically a speed trap since the limit drops drastically and is easy to miss. These are also my first tickets in 8 years of driving.

Generally, "deferred adjudication" or agreements to suspend prosecution hinge on you agreeing to have no same or similar violations for a period of one year. The agreement you sign to accept this offer clearly will state what happens if you violate that contract, and what will happen is usually you must now lose the benefits of this agreement and go back to court for the ticket plus any new tickets you have received. You not only got a new ticket, you violated the stay of imposition agreement you had signed for a previous ticket, so there are going to be consequences. For specific information and advice that applies to your situation, consult with an attorney in your area, many of them offer free consultations or at a reduced fee.

I think it depends on the state you live in. In virginia, for example, you can only take the defensive driving course to have your ticket removed once in 3 years.

Hey, are you familiar with that creek you are up? And you without a paddle. Maybe, you should loose your license for awhile to learn to appreciate that you need to drive better.
