is low in sugar and starch? I have college classes that run from 9am to 1:30pm and I only have a 15 minute break. I need a breakfast and quick portable snack that has enough holding power to last me until I get home but will give me enough energy to make it through a class that would put a kid with ADHD to sleep.

The breakfast and snack have to be low in sugar and starch because I have high tryglycerides but my cholesterol is fine.

Does the breakfast have to be portable? Something that gives me much energy (but no fat, low calories, and is low starch) is old-fashioned roll oats (oatmeal) flavored with raw almonds and berries, plus 2 packets of artificial sweetener. This gives you protein from the nuts, antioxidants from the berries, and fiber from the oatmeal. If you make the oatmeal w/ skim milk, you'll get added benefits of calcium and even more protein. Nothing keeps hunger away like oatmeal.

Egg whites (I microwave them in a bowl for 1 minute), a piece of whole wheat toast (dry), and water. You could add spinach or other veggies is you like but egg whites are only 17 calories per egg and high protein. The bread will balance you out as a complex carb.

porridge interior one of those liquid nutrients may be taken contained in the morning truly of tea/espresso, yet one must have some sturdy nutrients products like dosa, chappathi, iddllies etc., contained in the morning after taking porridge. because after a lengthy hollow of fasting (10pm to 6am) our digestive organs might want to require some sturdy nutrients.
