Where I am employed as a cosmetologist, I signed a non-compete contract. I signed it in June of 2003. I cannot work for six months after leaving my job within a 6 mile radius of the salon. My problem is transportation. How can I get around this contract?

You can't. You entered into this legally binding agreement, and have to abide by it. That's acutally not bad considering some of the non-competes I've seen.

You can't, sorry but true. Maybe try working some where else for the 6 month required period.
