Alex G - the question was about animal cruelty, not killing and yes, of course, causing pain and suffering to any living creature is wrong.
One of the three predictors of a serial killer is animal cruelty (along with arson and bed wetting). People who get pleasure from torturing animals are sick.
And, by-the-way, animals have feelings and emotions just like people and so it follows that they have souls.

God gave man domain over the animals.Which unfortuneately means that we decide what's in their best interest as well as how we treat and keep them.
God also gave instructions on how man was to kill the animals so humans could eat them.Their throats were to be cut because it's quick and painless. The animal gets very tired as the blood runs out and it drops off to sleep. It's HIS way and really the most humane. The animal feels nothing but something slide across it's neck.Unless of course the knife is dull.
And I do not believe for one second that God sits in heaven watching his creatures be tortured and abused and neglected by man without a care.
In the end God will decide these horrible peoples punishment and it will be much harsher than any man could impose.Small comfort at times but please believe that.

No. It doesn't even begin to approach the norms of common sense and human morality in general.
Personally, I believe that anyone who performs cruel acts to animals should have the same thing done to them as punishment.
Would that kind of cruelty to a person be right? Well no but I tend to believe in an eye for an eye when it comes to animals.

Absolutely not, its awful. It takes a sick person to hurt a defenseless and innocent animal. The abusers should have the same thing done to them.

Hell no! That's why it is illegal, not to mention immoral. Anybody who abuses an animal should be punished to the full extent of the law.

What some call "cruelty" others call "discipline". Those who call it discipline are a bit sick. So no, it's not right.
