BTW, I don't have a religion, but I seem to read a lot of questions saying that because of their religion people hate them.

I used to be a Christian fundamentalist and when I left the church, my love for humanity grew more than I can even describe.

I see the fundamentalists now, claiming that they are hated because people hate Jesus....The way I see it, some Christians are hated because they boast that they represent Christ, when in fact, they act nothing like him...They horribly misrepresent Christ.

I have not let religion influence me one way or another. It is my own personality and characteristics that make me a lovable person. I love myself the way I am and I think that genuinely helps me be a more lovable person to others. I am not a particularly religious person nor am I an atheist, but I am a very spiritual person.

It's made me more lovable because I now FEEL loved. Feeling the love of the Goddess is the best feeling in the world. And when I am filled with love, I tend to be more loving toward others.

Yes, many people now shun me because of my religion, but eh, whatever. It makes me happy and if they have a problem with me being happy then they never cared about me to begin with.

Blessed be.

Because I try to apply the teachings of Christ in my life, I feel that I am more loving and lovable, but, since I am imperfect, I do, at times, fall short of my goal.

But, as we have seen in this forum so many times, there is always going to be those who hate those who follow what God wants us to do, just because we do that, and not because of how we act personally, but, perhaps how they have seen others with similar beliefs act.

So, the answer is that it makes us more lovable to those who know us personally, but hated by those who only see labels and attach their own meanings to those labels. Even if those meanings feel justified by the actions of others around us, it should not be applied individually, but is.

To say that religion makes you more lovable than one whom has no religion is just utter poppycock. All it displayes is an assumed higher ability to love and thus mis-understanding on what exactly love is.

The Salvation of God has made me most lovable. The Love that He has taught me is to Love Him above all, to harm no one, and to love my neighbor as myself

When I was religious, it made me less loveable. But when I gave it up for Jesus, He made me more lovable.

Oh definitely more lovable. God ask that we love one another as He first loved us. It is so easy to do when you have love in your heart.

I really hate to point this out, but from much of what I see here, many people's religion has made them infinitely less loving..they preach hate this, hate that, damnation and hellfire...that cannot be that loving, can it?
